There's some people on the internet that has the ability to entertain people. Whether its because they found a gimmick that amuse the people or inspire themselves on a concept that already exists is of very importance in the end. Noah Antwiler, AKA the spoony one started as boring movie critic and went on to review video games. The first of which, Bayou Billy on NES was definitely a sub-par review by itself but as time progressed, he actually started to get pretty good. In fact, he became DAMN good and some of his movie reviews were actually fun to watch. The review he did of Phantasmagoria: Puzzle Of Flesh and Final Fantasy VIII are classics of video gaming in various ways. His attitude toward Final Fantasy VIII was also amusing due to the fact that he trolled the series much to the delight of people with at least half a brain that were not some dangerous psychopath fanboys who thinks Final Fantasy VII is masterpiece.
A great thing about him is that Spoony used to be a humble person. He barely could accept any money from his fans and his behavior to receiving some gifts from a anonymous fan was quite moving, more or less. However, Spoony changed in a extremely short period of time. Noah Antwiler is now a shadow of his former self. He's a arrogant, delusional, selfish and cowardly joke today compared to the nice guy he used to be. It is nothing short of a accomplishment to be able to deliver what could considered great videos to suddenly shit on his entire original fanbase. The man is part of what I consider the lowest rank of maggots that could possibly exist among reviewers, artists and vice versa.
He's part of that kind of people who can't handle criticism. At first, it seemed innocent but now its obvious that Noah Antwiler's mental health is not in good shape. It doesn't help that this... thing called Scarlett just helps to inflate his unstable ego that acts in a confident way... until he is confronted with anything that criticize him or anyone on the site "That Guy With The Glasses". I never went on his forum but according to many sources, the man has a very fragile temper and he will ban anyone that doesn't consider him or the people of TGWTG as example of perfection. Scarlett follows the same thing although I'd rather not waste my time with a senile lady who attempts to protect the ego of this man who believes he is the messiah of internet entertainment.
His delusional high ego might have been caused by the people of TGWTG, most notably Doug Walker but this attention whore is a different story for another article. It didn't help that he won a Mashable Award during 2009. However, this award did allow to show how much his mind is fragile and how he doesn't give a shit about his fans when he posted a rant instead of thanking the people who voted for him. However, who am I kidding? The idiot obviously rigged some of the votes so they'd go in his favor by voting for himself each days (another proof of his ego) and manipulating as many people as he could to get it. Its amusing that in 2010 he tried the same thing and he attempted to get sympathy votes by being sick... or pretending to be sick.
Eitherway, its pathetic and really, its not surprising that he didn't win in 2010 seeing how his original fans no longer roots for him. Who would they? He's now just a crybaby who is losing his hold on sanity each days. He bans people on his forum for no reason, clearly demonstrating his paranoia. He threats people with the "banhammer" and deletes topics out of panic. I might have never been on his worthless forum but the internet exists to show all the crap he did on the past. When you attempt to escape or hide something on the internet and its obvious to anyone with a brain what is going on, it will spread in a instant.
I love how Spoony thinks that whoever criticize him is a troll. It just proves how bat-shit insane he is. He's so crazy that he doesn't realize what nonsense he enforces. He whines about people that criticizes him despite that his career is based on criticism. Noah Antwiler, you are now nothing else than a disgrace and a shadow of your former self. I love how he blocked me on Twitter. Why?... Because it proves he cares and that he will read what people has to post about the raving lunatic that he is. The best part is that he can't do anything about criticism that isn't on his site. He can block you on Twitter and on different sites but the fact is that the posts against him still exists. He can't do anything about it. I usually wouldn't mention them but Encyclopedia Dramatica somehow has a perfectly accurate summary about him. I encourage his fans to take a look at the article related to him.
Spoony is a example of someone who got what could be considered a minor amount of fame on the internet and he allowed it to get to his head. Today, he is just bait for trolls. He won't respond to them but he will react to it. Its obvious that negative comments will cause him to get upset and get a bad day because of it. He once said that whenever he causes someone to get upset, that it fulfills him. Ha, ha, ha! Oh wow! Spoony says that and yet he can't handle a single shred of criticism or anything and anyone that disagree with him. He just has fragile nerves that makes him a joke on the internet. I think its awesome that he thinks he is so great. It just solidify the image of him being completely insane. He has to come up with nonsense all the time more and more lately. Coming up with stupid shit like Black Lantern Spoony or dressing as Squall from Final Fantasy VIII or that jester rubbish he came up with.
Noah Antwiler, a proof that a shred of fame can change the personality of a person in less time that it takes for him to delete a comment. Let me be blunt with you Spoony. You can't do anything about content that is not part of your site. Blocking people is useless, they will always find a way around it. You waste your time... no... you are a waste of time. Either accept your flaws and work on them or forever remain a senile and mediocre reviewer who stays in his little own world and imagine he is perfect. You're not perfect Noah Antwiler and your ego will make you suffer one day.

I have to reluctantly agree with you, dude. TheSpoonyOne is seriously starting to lose it, both in terms of his mind and in his videos; I think the fact that "The Spoony Experiment" is currently his only source of income is starting to get to him. Or maybe he really does have a health problem that seems to be getting worse. I don't know...
ReplyDeleteAccording to some information, his physical health isn't too great lately. The guy needs to take a break and wake up from his sudden burst of foolish ego.
ReplyDeleteDrugs and alcohol definitely didn't help the problem of Spoony's mental illness, but he was just using those to self-medicate from the pain that comes from being fucked up in the head, from the childhood trauma and other stuff that happened in his life.
DeleteI saw some crazy shit in Spoony's videos. The shade of his eyes would switch colours. The features in his face would change. He could go from being mean and scary-looking to a frightened little child in his face and his eyes. He had two personalities.
It's true...I used to love him...Then on the day of hes break up with Scarlett he was one Justin.Tv playing Ultima.Non of us knew how to play the game so he called everyone in the chat "Useless."
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you made this...I thought that I was the only one think that he was losing hes mind and being a Jackass...Now I know.
Fast forward a year and you can see how far he has declined with his rants towards fans regarding Mass Effect 3 and Cabin in the Woods.

All I can say is "The Experiment is over..."
Dude! Dont pick on him in the breakup period with Scarlett! Anyone that have had a girlfriend or experienced love knows the pain. And with that comes hate. I would take it out on everyone around me, and be snappy too.
ReplyDeleteThat said. He now seems to be full of himself, a complete douche that is in serious need of humbling himself down to earth. I could clearly see on conferances and gameshows, that he was bullying some people that asked "dumb" questions. That is truly horrible! To throw shit at fanboys, that may not have enough confidence to deal with it.
Phantasmagoria, FF8 and some other reviews were actually the best reviews i have ever seen! You got to give him that. So i just hopes he eventually snaps out of it, apologize to all he's victims of bullying and return as a better person.
He's worse cause while he admits he's arrogant he's like "So I'm spoony I got fans" That's literally how he acts.
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt Spoony was a good, strong YouTuber, but he was also prone to doing dumb things like the rest of us.
DeleteThe difference was his mistakes were broadcast and people like us started questioning his character.
100& all of this. I used to be big Spoony fan when he used to be good but, boy has that ship sailed. I can't stand the abhorrent way he treats people, especially on Twitter. He will bait people into an argument just so he has an excuse to shit on them and feel like a big man oppsed to the child he really is. Then act like the victim if anybody retaliates, again, not being able to take any negative critisism.
ReplyDeleteHe used to produce regular and varied content with no outside support. Now? You may see one or two videos a month which turns out to be another lazy-ass vlog. You know what the saddest part is? He will never learn. His ego will never let him acknowledge that people hate him now, his popularity is dwindling and when his Patreon inevitably dries up he will blame everybody but himself.
You're done, Noah. Move away from the internet, find a regular job and just disappear.
Yeah, the real Spoony is now gone.
ReplyDeleteIt's 2018 and Twitter blocked Spoony
ReplyDeleteGuru Larry once said that it's puzzling why so many people treat their audiences like shit, then complain that people are being mean to them.
ReplyDeleteAlways treat people how you would like to be treated yourself. It's pretty simple.
On that note, Larry never gave up, never sold out, never stopped fighting for what's right, treated his fans with dignity and respect, and always spoke up when something needed to be said.
While I'm not saying Spoony didn't believe in God and wasn't religious, he just sometimes didn't do things outside the Internet that way, and I don't mean he was terrorizing the population; he was damaging himself more than anybody else.
ReplyDeleteBut, because Spoony and all the people who used to work for Channel Awesome were so closely identified as not only being strong, bona fide YouTubers, but also God-fearing strong, bona fide YouTubers, when things came out about car wrecks or sexual harassments or suicides or "is there drugs involved" or whatever, every move was covered by both independent YouTubers outside the CA circle AND ex-CA contributors; you can tell when you watch YouTube, you're seeing less and less likes for CA's recent videos.
I mean, look, Spoony was huge in 2007-2012, and by 2015, he was pretty bad off.
